Destination sessions are definitely a favorite of mine, so when I had the opportunity to check this off my bucket list for travel, I jumped at the offer! I had the honor of heading to Banff, Canada, with Senior Style Guide Magazine along with several other photographers. Each photographer was able to submit models to be selected for the trip, and my AMPSENIOR Model, Chloe, was lucky enough to be one of the selected models!
The trip was a whirlwind of fun mixed with work, including getting up at 3 a.m. in freezing temperatures to travel to Lake Louise for sunrise! The beauty and views were completely worth it, so we got up early to shoot at Lake Moraine another morning.
Each photographer got to photograph all the models (including their own) and it was fun to work with so many amazing young adults even if we had to fight rain for some of it! But, the highlight of the trip for me was the moment that the rain stopped and I got to shoot MY own model right as a beautiful double rainbow appeared. Magical doesn’t even describe the moment! It was beyond magical if that is possible. I told Chloe we were about to shoot the cover image for the magazine and we proceeded to do just that. Our image we created right after the storm was chosen as the COVER IMAGE for the travel issue of Senior Style Guide Magazine and I could not have been more proud!
Here is the lovely image I created with Chloe and some of the behind the scenes moments her parents captured for us!
Here are some of the variations for the cover image!
and finally here are some of my other favorite images from the day of sessions in Banff
I can’t wait to see where my next adventure takes me and AMPSENIORS!
